  • Jatropha Biodiesel

I have started researching jatropha as fuel because I don't like the possiblility of conflicting purposes with ethanol (food AND oil). I came across an American company doing some good work in Ghana called Gold Star Biodiesel.

    Re: Jatropha Biodiesel

I'm a newbie on this forum. Furthermore, located outside Australia. What can I say?

I have been looking at cultivation and processing possibilities for both jatropha (actually has its species origin where I am located: Colombia) and also Pongamia pinnata -- most particularly the latter. Has there been any discussion on this board of Pongamia (honge, pongam) oil? It is another option that is inedible, grows on marginal land, and does not require fermentation to be a fuel.
