  • Do you want to buy a feedstock oil?

Is there any market for Jatropha oil as a feedstock to produce biodiesel in Australia?

Obviously the type of biodiesel that you produce depends on the oil used. Jatropha oil requires no degumming and when used to make biodiesel to spec it will not cause any gelling or startup problems until colder than -7degrees celsius.

Does anyone here currently purchase oil feedstock, and would you be interested in buying Jatropha oil for feedstock?

I know that Jatropha is classified as a noxious weed in Oz, but this oil would come imported from Cambodia.

    Cheers for any interest.

    G'day,

You are correct in assuming that jatropha is a reasonably high quality source of biodiesel feed stock. Although I am surprised that Cambodia grows economically viable quantities of jatropha nuts to support export .

I would be very interested in any further particulars you can supply. ( price, reliability of supply, quality of product etc)

I look forward to hearing from you.
