  • 200L drums

Where do you get the 200L drums to buy biodiesel from bulk suppliers such as the one at Rutherford? How much do they cost?

    Thanks...

The supplier at Rutherford also has cleaned, repainted drums available when you pick up your fuel. I think they were somewhere around $30-$35 ea.

Failing that, ask any workshop or mechanic who buys their oil in bulk 200l drums. Thye will often have to pay to have them removed, so you might pick one up quite cheaply.

Kleenco at 25 Moxon Rd, Punchbowl in Sydney, ph 9707 3333, sell clean plastic 200L drums for $10-20 each.

While you're there, they sell KOH, phenol red, sulphuric acid, phosphoric acid and every type of pool chemical and household cleaner you can think of. It's a pity they don't sell methanol, or it would truly be a one stop shop. Maybe I'll suggest it to them and they could add biodiesel supplies to their advertising.

I got mine from Rutherford Biodiesel. I live in Maitland and have one spare. Send me a PM if you're interested.
