I do not know of any "problems" but there are some simple precautions, which may prevent "issues".
Check the IP. If it is a Delphi, Lucas or CAV, then only change to vegoil when the retuirn line fuel is >60°C AND ensure that the fuel system purge is conducted religiously. Even one occasion of running or starting on cold vegoil can sieze the IP.
If the IP is a Bosch, it is less vulnerable.
    • I recommend adding a coolant/fuel heat exchanger to the fuel line going to the IP inlet. This should heat all fuels entering the IP, but may have a ball valve to isolate the coolant if diesel is to be used for an extended time.
    • I recommend having separate fuel filters for the diesel and vegoil fuels.
    • I recommend changing the engine oil at around 5 000 km or half the engine recommended service interval (whichever is greater)
    • It may be necessary to have a heated fuel tank to ensure that the fuel is liquid enaough to flow to the engine bay.
    • It may be necessaryt to have heated fuel lines to the engine bay, to manage high melting point oils (which may solidify in the fuel lines).
