REFERENCE WAS MADE TO A CLONED JATROPHA WHICH PRODUCES IN THE FIRST YEAR

I AM WONDERING IF IT IS SUITABLE FOR CULTIVATION IN CENTRAL VICTORIA AUSTRALIA, IF SO AVAILABILITY OF SEEDS, COSTS, CULTIVATION, HARVESTING AND OIL EXTRACTION - - THE WHOLE WORKS

ALL OR ANY INFORMATION WOULD BE MOST APPRECIATED AS WE ARE KEEN TO SET UP A TOTALLY SELF CONTAINED OPERATION ON OUR SMALL FARM

i vaugly recall reading something about Jathropa being classified as a Noxious weed in australia. I'm unaware at how true this is but would think that it could be very likely the case.
best of luck mate maybe try some other plants.

Nick's correct. It is a declared noxious weed and AQUIS will not allow the import of viable seeds. You can import seeds that have been rendered sterile and extract the oils but under strict quarantine conditions only.
