  • Heater element extraction

    Hi All,
I have a 50l beer Keg that i was planning to use as my 1st reactor tank.
I also have a 50l rheemglass hot water system that someone had thrown out and was planning to get the element out and put it in the Keg.

One problem I have no idea how to get it out and also to test if it even works!

Can anyone shed some light on this matter, it would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks Ulli

    hi bear

i visited the tip the other day and found a few hot water tanks their
the elements on these type had four bolts holding it in place.just undo them pry the element out with screwdriver. As for testing the element
use a multimeter to check for continuity at the terminals..

      Hello Beer

Some heaters have a threaded heater element which takes a big wrench to undo.

          Hello Bear,
          It should just pull out.
