  • bio fuel in Africa

Hi folks, im new at this so please be patient with me

6 months ago i started manufacturing my own bio fuel, im using WVO, bieng Sunflower and palm oil, i have had good results with Sunflower oil, but better results with Palm oil.
I have found that the palm oil titrates lower than sunflower, and washes easy, starting is better, and torque is up by 12%.

We have started introducing bio fuel from WVO into the rural communities, to be used in parrafin stoves, and that is working pretty good.
Thank you for allowing me to be part of your forum.

    Alan,
    Welcome to the Forum.

How did you test the performance of the different biodiesel torque performance?

I am sure that others on this forum would be interested in your results.
While I do not have a reference to hand, I believe that biodiesel made from Palm oil has a higher specific energy than biodiesel made from liquid oils. Biodiesel made from Tallow has a similar specific energy to Palm biodiesel.

I must locate that reference again.

      Hi Toney

the tests were done on a dyno, one with fossil fuel and one with bio fuel.

        Well done.
Not many of us have access to Dyno for testing fuel performance comparisons.

Do you have the graphs from the Dyno?
If so, would you consider posting them here?

It would be a useful resource for the Forum.
