  • Worms love biodiesel.

How biodegradable is biodiesel? After I spilled a heap on my driveway, I sprinkled sawdust over it. That night it poured with rain. The next morning there were worms all through it.

Here's a few that were in a handful I scooped up.

They continued to thrive in the sawdust + water + biodiesel mix, but then about a week later, I sprayed degreaser all over my engine bay and it dripped down into this mix and the worms all died shortly after.

If anyone ever wanted a good example of an eco friendly fuel - there you have it.

Very interesting there Robert, true it does show how friendly the biodiesel is.... shame that the current mix, petro-diesel not being able to do that... instead it paints that lovely black into the concrete at the servos.

Well if we could get this type of information out to the public, that would help our cause greatly.

Robert, your little driveway accident would be a marvellous example to use in some advertising campaign.
      I can see it now:
"...imagine a fuel for your car that makes your garden grow..."

      Biodiesel
from animal fats....twenty two chickens to the litre.
