Hi all , Newbie here with a problem , hoping more experienced members may be able to offer some help .

I made my first large batch of bio a couple of days ago , did a test wash , and got emulsion .

I suspect not enough KOH in the processor .
The reason I suspect this is , I was working on 5.4 gm base rate for KOH that I got from the web site I have been following . on further searching , 7 gm seems to be the norm .
What I did ...200 L processor , 55C degrees , KOH 5 + 4.3 titration = 9.3 gm per L , 40 L methanol , run time 2.5 hrs .
I am assuming I should have used ...7.7 gm of 90% KOH + 4.3 gm titration = 12 gm per L of oil .
Is this a reasonable assumption ?
My oil is probably not the best quality, but I have a lot of it & it has been settling for a long time , nice & clean going into the processor , & all the crap in the bottom of the storage drums .

Any suggestions would be most welcome .

What do I do with the unwashed bio to improve it , Reprocess ?

Thanks
