I'm looking to get a used diesel car that is not too old that I can use B100 in. I'm in California. If a modification is necessary to do this, I would love to find out if anyone knows a California mechanic who will do it. I have called 10 of them in my area and have been met with sarcasm and criticism for even suggesting it.

Which non-vintage diesel vehicles can use B100?

What year is too old?
Well made B100 should be fine in any diesel engine. Common Rail Direct injection, Older Direct Injection diesels even the old Indirect Injection diesels (with glow plugs)
To build your confidence, start with a blend of 50% Diesel and 50% B100.
If the world does not end, try 75% Biodiesel and 25% diesel. You may need to change your fuel filter in this these first uses of biodiesel, but that will clean out most of the diesel bug in the fuel tank and from then on you may need to change the filter again during the first year of B100 use. After that it should not need changing for some time (years).
