  • Getting WVO or Biodiesel in Perth / Northam region

    Howdy All,

There is a company called Bioworks which is collecting used WVO for free from a lot of places. I have enquired at many shops / eateries, and most have a contract in place already.

Does anyone know of a shop / restaurant willing to give away their used veggie oil?

Or perhaps a place where i can buy B80+ (inc B100) Biodiesel?

    Regards

    Hi Dirk,
Check out your local sports clubs, (Footy, Tennis, Soccer, Rugby, anything else people play in your area), Ethnic clubs also have kitchens with a small throughput of oil and may not have entered into contracts with oil recovery companies. Check them all in your area.
Small lunch bars too. Just let them know that you do not want fat in the oil you collect.
I have a number of small eateries that are not contracted to the oil supplier.
Another company supplying and collecting oil is "Cookers".
Keep trying, you will get a couple of small ones and suddenly you find a good source and will protect it as much as you can, to keep it yours!
Do not stop looking, even after your needs are met. You could lose a source or have a friend who would like to join the greasy fuel crowd.
I believe that "you get what you give" in life. Share what you can afford to and you will get it back in different ways, to fill your needs in life.

Are you coming to the WA Renewable Fuels Association Inc. Meeting and Lunch BBQ in Darling Downs (Armadale) tomorrow? Interested parties and their partners are welcome.
Go to our Facebook page or website (warfa.asn.au) to get address and times.
    Have a good night.
    Tony
