  • Conversion kits and ecological footprint

    Hello!

I am new to the veggie oil journey and I’m on a rather steep learning curve (having not had any interest in the mechanisms of cars previously) but very willing to learn. I have been reading the FAQ and trawling through various websites.

I am considering buying a 1994 Landcruiser Troopcarrier 1HZ, which has a Denso fuel distributor type.
I am wondering if anyone is running the same/similar model on WVO?

I have been chatting to Petra from 4 x 4 who sells the ATG conversion kits, which I have been considering. Although, I wonder if it’s possible to run on just WVO rather than using the 2 -tank system which starts and stops on diesel?

My main reason for wanting to use WVO is to reduce my ecological footprint (I work as an environmental educator in schools) and I currently have a petrol guzzling Mazda E-2000 van.

I wonder if anyone has read any good research articles on the ecological footprint/ emissions of say hybrid cars vs electric vs petrol vs diesel?

I am looking forward to chatting/meeting others on the veggie oil journey 😊

    Thanks!

    Lora
