I have been running my Hilux Surf on WVO for 5+ years with a 1KZ-TE engine.

Recently a friend asked me on what car could he get to run on WVO. He found a 2003 Prado with a 1KZ-TE engine.

Given that the Prado seems to have the same engine, will the Prado run on WVO just as well??? What differences would there be between the 2 vehicles as far as running on WVO? I presume injectors, IP and maybe electronics are the same?

He would certainly have fewer problems with spare parts then I do...

    Same engine, no problem.
    The body is irrelevant.

      Thanks Tim.

I realize that the body is irrelevant, I was more thinking whether it may have a different computer with extra sensors (hence eg. can be more sensitive to fuel temperature) or perhaps an improved electronic injection or a different IP, etc. I wasn't sure whether the same engine means all the above is the same.
