  • Filter bag holder

I needed to make a filter to take a hose so used a 150mm sewer pipe collar and cap, just the right size for Tony's filters. This way I can leave it submerged in the drum of oil so oil doesn't dry on the outside of it. A problem for me as a lot of the oil I collect is Soy.Click image for larger version

Yep same as my old setup but found I needed to push the bag on further and use two sets of clamps to be sure it did not come off when full of heavy fats

Go round the edge of the cap with the wire brush on your bench grinder to rough it up. Makes a huge difference to how well the things will stay on. I just used the cap itself without the coupler bit but the one I had didn't have the grip ridges.
