G'day everyone,
A question pertaining to the drivers side front electric window in my Musso.
The drivers side front window no longer stops when it hits the top or bottom, the motor keeps running and does not stall. This has damaged the winding mechanism. I have to turn it off manually
I understand that instead of having micro limit switches to determine when to stop, most electric windows now have a stall sensing circuit that detects the increase in current when the motor hits the top or bottom and stalls. My window does not have micro switches and the motor does not stall anymore, it keeps trying to wind which has damaged the winding mechanism. Why does the motor no longer stall when it hits the top or bottom?
How would I fix this problem, replace the window winding motor and mechanism? Is the stall sensing circuit part of the motor in each window or part of the master control in the drivers door?
