    Re: Did my post work?

Culley, I have searched for your post, but it is no where to
    be found.
I an only find 2 posts from you, this one and one for a Mazda some time ago.
Best if you write a new post.

  2. Re: Can I use very old leaded petrol to thin WVO?

I have been using contaminated fuel (Petrol added to diesel fuel tank in error) as the thinning agent in my single tank fatmobiles for over 18 years. I am now finding it difficult to obtain as the...

    Re: Ethanol from wood chips

Yendor, Methanol is the bit that causes health issues (including blindness) when pot stills are used. I remove the "heads" which contain the lower boiling point Methanol.
    I would not waste Ethanol...

    Re: SVO Exhaust Emissions

While I do not have any test results, The CO2 from Vegetable oil was taken from the air by the plant to make the oil, so it is carbon neutral. (any CO2 emissions from harvesting and processing are...

Re: 1986 Isuzu Trooper TD for sale

    Jerry O,
You would be well advised to get it running well before trying to sell it.
A non-runner is only worth parts value or less.
A running vehicle is worth much more.
    Get a mechanic who has...
  6. Re: Can I use very old leaded petrol to thin WVO?

I have never had that issue. The in-tank mixing works well in the vehicles that I have used with blends.
The petrol is less dense than the vegetable oil and floats on the top, gradually blending...
  7. Re: Can I use very old leaded petrol to thin WVO?

As a proponent of blended veggie oil fuel, I see no issue using old leaded or unleaded petrol to dilute vegetable oil fuel.
I run a Ssangyong Musso and a Ssangyong Rexton (both 2.9L diesels - inline...

    Re: Ethanol from wood chips

Yendor, I also use Sugar to create alcohol. One thing to note is that fermenting alcohol using white sugar as the fermentable sugars may also produce small amounts of Methanol. I always take the...

    Re: Fuel Hose for B100

OK, I thought that was the requirement, rather than suitability for them.

    Re: Fuel Hose for B100

The spec sheet states "The hose is qualified with permanent crimp couplings for a safe and secure connection."
How are you connecting it to the metal fuel pipes?
  12. Re: Hello! New member, very recently converted my 1995 80 series Landcruiser to SVO

    Seasnail,
I would not worry about the oil temperature. Once the engine is running the oil (as long as it is liquid) will flow and be injected reliably.
the oil will pick up heat from the airflow...
  13. Re: Musso / Rexton 2.9L Turbodiesel Injector Pump fault

I have the parts and now have had time to install it in the Green tray back Musso. All is good in Musso World!

I have a buyer for the 2 spare return line pressure relief valves.

    I can send...

  16. Re: Musso / Rexton 2.9L Turbodiesel Injector Pump fault

I have sourced new replacement parts for this valve. The ones without the green rubber seal will work, I don't know why the one I tried didn't work - perhaps I didn't bleed enough air from the IP...

    Re: 1st time WVO blending

Why do you drill them out? I have had no issues with flow rate thru these MANN WK 31/5 prefilters, unless they are becoming blocked, and that is when I change them out for a cleaned one. I also have...

    Re: Ssangyong ACTYON 2007

    Shipo,
My experience is with the Musso (2000-2006) and with the Rexton (to 2004) these cars share the same engine, transmission and running gear. I had one Musso suffer head gasket coolant leakage. ...

  21. Re: Mazda Capella Supercharged conversion to manual trans

Sorry, didn't have a paddock back then. Sold it to another Capella enthusiast. he fixed the problems and got it back on the road again.
  22. Re: Mazda Capella Supercharged conversion to manual trans

That model was my first Fatmobile.
Sorry, I cannot help with your question as I never swapped the transmission, only the engine. Mine had the 5speed manual transmission.
    Mine was a non-supercharged...

  24. Re: Pump and nozzle suitable for oil delivery

I store my filtered oil in 20 litre HDPE drums.
I use a funnel and heft the drum up to pour the oil into the funnel and thus into the fuel tank.
