    Re: Brisbane WVO Source

Sorry Pete, I've checked with the guy I handed my pickups over to, and he's using all the oil.

Good luck - one way to go is to keep a sharp eye out for new restaurants.

    Cheers,
    G.

Bump... I'm puzzled - thought these sources would be jumped on!

If my other recent thread is the concern, the fuel I was using was based only in part on these sources - in fact they were a...

Perhaps I should "suck up" my frustration and ask - is anyone able to help me source a lab test at a good price / free? (Go on, surprise me!!!):)

    Brisbane WVO Source

All, is anyone interested in some new sources of oil? This is like to be long term, and all are inner north-side - Brisbane.

Quantity is about 100l per month but I'm not 100% certain.

    Three...

    Re: Blocked Fuel Filter

Thanks Chris, no. Fact is that I've only done about 8000 ks since the tank was out for a similar incident. I rarely run on dirt (worse luck).

The tank, the sender, the pickup, were all thickly...

    Re: Blocked Fuel Filter

Hmm, ConstableChris, point taken about breather tubes, but over less than 8000k's since I've had a tank recondition? I reckon not. This muck was all over every surface in a thick layer.

    BTW the...

    Re: Blocked Fuel Filter

I think I've had my last days of biodiesel. My tank is now having its second recondition in two years. It is coated in chocolate coloured crap, as is the sender unit and pickup.

    Re: Blocked Fuel Filter

Tim my tank is standard 70 litre I think. Had it stripped and refurbished after the last trauma. That was 2009. I'm thinking I need to wind out the drain plug at least, and see what washes out.

Thanks everyone. The goo (that's a tech term) is grainey - like dirt, except that it crushes between thumbnails. Possibly the lining of the tank stripping out? I've been running bio for several...

    Blocked Fuel Filter

    Thoughts?

HJ60 Landcruiser, filter has been used for approx 6000kms. Vast majority of fuel used has been bio.

    Re: 4WD Cranking Battery

So, Alga, the cockies who have electric fences where I'm organising a rogaine might love to get their paws on my battery?

    4WD Cranking Battery

    Hi All,

My (12HT) 60 series Landcruiser's cranking battery needs replacing.

Any tips on disposal - can these be sold (for their lead)? Or do I just take it to a local recycler and hand it...

    Hi Simon,

I can't help myself. Having had a quick look at their website, I suspect (OF COURSE I COULD BE WRONG) they are producing from palm oil.

Fuel Line blockage Toyota 60 series

Car is a 60 Series (HJ61) Landcruiser with about 332000kms.

I have been running B100 in it for about 2 years, for six months before we headed overseas for 15months.

My mate looked after it for...

If it's of any use to you, I do a little documentation for a living, I'd be happy to give your instructions a critical review, gratis. (My benefit, I learn a little more about making BD.)
