    That is one of the beauties of the Elsbett system.

    Not sure how it works, but even in cold weather the vehicle will start fine on cold oil, before the electric and coolant heaters...

    sounds very much like a clogged hose leading to the cylinder. Is there a short flexible hose in the line? Probably close to the cylinder. These often clog.
