  2. Re: Mazda Capella for urgent sale in VIC (1993, Diesel, Station Wagon, 155,000km)

This s a bit of a "Blast from the Past".
At the time of writing my first post on this thread, my Capella was off the road with head issues. I then sold the car to another Capella fan and it was...

    Sticky: Re: SVO upflow design

For those who would like to make an up-flow settling system for their veggie oil, here is what I am using.
I have an insect screen in a cut off 60L drum, upside down with a 50mm* 19mm BSP reducing...
  5. Re: Has the Infopop Biodiesel Forum ceased to operate?

Cade, That is true, but they also would find it beneficial to have an enquiring mind and a degree of diagnostic ability.
  6. Re: Has the Infopop Biodiesel Forum ceased to operate?

I used the URL http://biodiesel.infopop.cc/ and got the following message:
    This account has been suspended.
Either the domain has been overused, or the reseller ran out of resources.

    Re: To convert or not

Search for motorised bvall valve DN15. I have seen some which are only a few inches long and high. Would they be too big for your vehicle?
  8. Re: Has the Infopop Biodiesel Forum ceased to operate?

We will just have to do more posting about our greasy interests!

    Re: To convert or not

    JJ
Can you measure the return line flow (re-route the return line into a 5 litre can) and run the engine for 1-5 minutes to see how much you are pumping down the return line. You can then see how...

    Re: To convert or not

JJ, Here is something you can do to reduce coking in the engine. I have had a lot of success with doing this in my Mercedes W123 300D.
With a hot engine at a fast idle, spray a mist of water across...

    Re: Biodiesel with Burley oil

    Hi Tonto.
Burley oil could be anything. I have no knowledge of the composition of "Burley Oil"
Unless you know the composition of it only included triglyceride oils then you should avoid it. #Even...

    Re: Using the tote?

The biodiesel reaction will proceed (albeit slowly) at 20C, so the temperature should not be an issue.
    I found this table

    Re: My first wash. AARGGHH

Can you get a liner for your bund?
If you need to take the setup down, it would be a good opportunity to make your bund a whole lot better.

    Re: 1hz pump rebuilt costs

Get the dealership to commit to a warranty on the rebuilt pump. I would suggest 20 - 50KKm.
Unfortunately, they are unlikely to honour it if you use veggie oil or biodiesel in it.

Re: Indonesia goes to B50 next year

It is hard to determine exactly what they are doing. At first glance it appears that they are talking about Palm sourced Biodiesel, then blends of palm oil and finally back to palm oil biodiesel.

You could get an IP from a pre 2000 Musso as they had the NA version of this engine.
