    Methanol / Water invection on my Musso Sports

    Previous Vehicles:
    '90 Mazda Capella. (2000 - 2003) My first Fatmobile. Converted to fun on veggie oil with a 2 tank setup.
    '80 Mercedes 300D. 2 tank conversion [Sold]
    '84 Mercedes 300D. 1 tank, no conversion. Replaced engine with rebuilt OM617A turbodiesel engine. Finally had good power. Engine donor for W123 coupe. (body parted out and carcass sold for scrap.)

    Hi Tony,


    What is the operating pressure of the water pump? I assume it is max turbo boost pressure + X to ensure you aren't blowing bubbles back into the water tank and make the nozzle atomise properly.


    And most importantly - how does it go? Can you feel the difference?


    I had some problems with my nozzle getting blocked due to minor impurities in my water / methanol supply, so I installed a filter screen between the tank and the pump and it has worked a treat. You could probably use one of your diesel pre-filters for that purpose.
