After fitting a longrange tank on my cruiser and removing most of the Toyota original fuel system in order to get it in place, I was thinking about the breather hose/pipe. Nothing on the original hose setup was linked to a breathing valve or the like. There is a lot of pipe work and hoses going on top of the rear tank. I did put a seperate breather in and hung it on the head board of the tray.

Whilst doing the work, I was wondering where the original tanks, front and rear have their breathers. You see all these people driving through rivers and lakes, they would have to re run their breathers in order to keep them dry. Or does Toyota have a automatic closing breather on their fuel tanks.

Thanks, and have a great day!
