    2006 VW Jetta 2.0 tdi

    Hi,
    Do any forum members have knowledge or experience of using biodiesel in this model car.

    No I don't but the Gen4 Passat should have PumpeDuse injectors which should be be more forgiving of less than perfect fuel than common rail.

    Hi Bruce, looking at stepping up in the world:-) hope you're not trading the 80's for a Jetta? :-)

    I looked into the VW thing a while back and I think the golf up to the MK5 would run bio no issues. So if it's the same engine than you're fine.
    What I heard from other members is that the fuel needs to be very good, the bloody Germans are less forgiving than the Japs :-)

    1990 Toyota Hilux LN106 with ATG 2 tank system (sold after running 150.000 ks on mainly WVO)

    1993 Toyota 75 Series with 1 HDT conversion, 75l factory tank and a custom 170l under tray tank. (Retired with 680.000ks on the clock mostly running on BIO and on WVO)

    2006 Landcruiser Troopcarrier 1HZ with DTS Turbo Kit, 170ltr long range tank currently not converted, running on B100

    By up to Gen5 you mean including Gen5 ?

    Jens, I'm keeping the 105 cruiser.
    I've 2 grandchildren now that need transport occasionally. Unfortunately, Grandma's failed shoulder surgery makes it impossible for her to lift babies in and out of a high car.

    I think even if one could run it on B50 it would make sense. These things are so fuel efficient, they get up to 1000k's per tank.
