planning a trip across the nullabor

Anyone done it recently ? seems like a long leg out of Ceduna - anyone know of any roadhouses along the way with good oil available ?

I would have 250 litres in the two main tanks on the suburban so would get close to 2000KM with that.

We will be towing a camper trailer so not much room for additional fuel.

Just trying to asses if i setup some extra internal storage in the suburban or if we can collect as we go

Why don't you ring some of them. I suggest the ones that the truckies use like the ampol at Penong, bp at Port Augusta and Ceduna, Mildura Roadhouse, Eucla truck stop at the border, thats where the good food is and hence where the most custom will be and therefore waste oil.

Hey Shiner - thanks for the offer - we would be looking at coming over in the September holidays.

I will call a few of the roadhouses and see what they have also - thanks for the info guys.

I will keep you updated as it evolves.

    regards
