    Australia's two peak biodiesel industry associations, Renewable Fuels Australia and Biodiesel Association of Australia, are expected to announce that they will merge to form one body to promote the awareness of biofuels.

      Yes, I had heard that too, but it is not fit to print yet as nothing is in concrete. It could still go either way.

        BAA Steering Committee members met with Renewable Fuels Australia's President David Cox and Executive Director, Bob Gordon to explore avenues for co-operation between BAA and RFA.

        The meeting reached an in principle agreement to combine the strengths of both groups in a single entity to more effectively represent the interests of the biofuels industry.

        A Working Group, with representatives of BAA and RFA, chaired by Barry Murphy, has been charged with the presentation of a discussion paper with a recommended course of action, by 21 September 2006.

        Recommendations will be circulated to all members of both groups as soon as possible.
