I have located a diesel transfer pump that is set up with meter and auto shut off gun . I'm wondering if this would be suitable for biodiesel mixing?.The pump is 240 v ,3/4 hp and pumps 40 lt per min .$170 . My reactor vessel is 315 lt appleturnover

    Re: biodiesel pump

I purchased one of these on eBay and found that the meter did not respond to biodiesel as well as the seller said it did on diesel. The fuel hose started weeping biodiesel after 3 months use. It needed to operate from a battery unles you have a 20A battery charger. My 24V 10A one barely coped.

Yours may be different. Ask the seller if the hoses are biodiesel friendly and that the meter measures accurately on biodiesel.

I'm not expecting to much from the meter,I was wondering if the pump capacity was up to the task , it is self priming as well, the hosese don't look that sturdy

The hoses are crap and kink easily. Go to bunnings and get some reinforced hose and decent clamps. They pump bio fine however the meters are next to useless. These pumps make fuelling the car SO easy!
