  • 400L WVO (fat) to give away in Perth

I have about 400L cooking fat in 3 x 200L drums to give away in Perth Metro.

They're in the back of my truck on a pallet, so if you sling me $20 fuel money I can deliver it to you. PM if interested.

Hmm. No one wants my fat it seems. Wonder why?

    1. No one in Perth makes bio.
    2. No one in Perth makes bio out of fat - everyone uses (liquid) oil.
    3. No one reads this site
    4. No one wants to pay me fuel money to deliver it. No prob - I'll tell you where it is and you can have it for nix.

    Any ideas?

I suspect it is more #2 than anything else.

If you want to find out what's happening amongst other WA BioFuellers, send us an email from WARFA website and I'll add you to our email distribution list.

Righto - change of tack. I'd given up on making bio 'cause I couldn't be bothered competing with everyone else for the WVO. But if, as it appears, no one uses fat, there should be plenty of it around, particularly as my truck can collect 200s.

So I'll just set up my plant to make the bio from solid, not liquid. A little more difficult logistically, but makes a better product in the long term.

          Dr Mark,
There is always of solid oil around as it is much more difficult to handle than the liquid oils. Best wishes with your processor, I am sure that it will be a functional masterpiece.

Thanks. It seems like WA has a lot of SVO users and not so many biodieselers

Some WARFA members are also members of a Biodiesel Coop which produces 1000 litre batches fo biodiesel as needed by members.
There are a lot of biodiesel producers who are not members of WARFA. I know a few of them.
