I have just clocked up 4000km on B100 and about 600km on lower blends before this.
The vehicle had 140,000km on it when I started using B100.
Comparison fuel consumptions are:
Diesel 11-11.5 litres/100km
B100 13-13.5 litres /100km
I haven't noticed any major changes in performance or driving characteristics.
I changed the fuel filter after 2000km just in case. Out of curiosity cut it open and it was very dirty with brown sludge but I wasn't having any problems and it was 30,000+km old.
I have been caught on one -4 degree C night when I left the truck outside. It started but wouldn't go above idle in the morning. By lunch time it had warmed up enough to thaw out and it ran fine. I now know after testing that my fuel will start to get lumpy at 4 degree C but mixed with 20% Jet A1 it is below 0 C. So I may use B80 to save any problems in winter especially if I know I'll be parking outside overnight.
Have had no other problems apart from people telling me there is something wrong with my truck because the exhaust gas smells strange. Reminds me of my model plane motors.
Thanks everyone for the info on the forums.
