Re: Filter bags - bulk offer

    David,
    I appreciate your support.
Unfortunately, I cannot afford to purchase 10 of each express satchel to get a 10% discount, and no one is paying me to do it either.

I feel that a $1.50 markup on the postage is reasonable on an $18.50 item (ie an 8% markup) and significantly less than would be charged elsewhere.

Similarly, the $3 kg express satchel is less than the $10 I ask for the postage of items needing that size satchel and less than $8.00 for the 500g express satchel for small orders..

I purchase the satchels in advance and it involves cost to hold satchels in readiness for an order.

My sales for one month (last month to be exact) was 1 filter bag. This month I have had orders for 3 bags. As you can see, I am not making millions in this enterprise.

    Kind regards,
    Tony

It is about 6 months since my last post, so I am posting this to bring it back on to the current page of the Glassifieds section, above the deleted SPAM which I see (as moderator).

      Best wishes,

Re: Filter bags - bulk offer

I have managed to squeeze more long filter bags into the 5Kg satchel, so the maximum number of Long filter bags in the 5Kg satchel has increased from 8 to 10, this means that the purchase of 10 Long filter bags is only $150, including Express P&P.
On a per-bag basis, this is $15 per bag!
        How cheap can filtering get?

Thanks to my most recent customer who made an order for 10 bags, this is now available to other forum members.

        Regards,
        Tony

I have good stocks of both 1 and 5 micron filter bags, in long and short bags.

Just a bump to come back to page 1.

I understand your pain with the post bags. Austpost have done nothing to instll confidence in postal consumers.

                  Michael,
I did enquire but I believe that AustPost Express satchels are still the cheapest signed delivery, tracked, parcel service in Australia.

If anyone has an alternative which beats Aust Post proces, please let me know.
                  Thanks,

Re: Filter bags - bulk offer

                                Pricing update:
I still have stock of filter bags at the current prices, but now, Australia Post have introduced a "Flat Rate Satchel in 500g and 3Kg sizes.

As such I can provide tracked delivery freight to members at lower prices.

I will now be charging $7 P&P for the 500g flat rate satchel & $10 for the 3Kg flat rate satchel but they do not offer a 5Kg flat rate satchel.

Here are the prices for bulk lots which are most economical:

including 500g flat rate tracked Satchel
2 short filter bags (1 or 5 micron) including 500g tracked delivery $27.00
1 long filter bag (1 or 5 micron) including 500g tracked delivery $19.00

including 3kg flat rate tracked Satchel
5 short filter bags (1 or 5 micron) including 3Kg tracked delivery $60.00
3 long filter bag (1 or 5 micron) including 3Kg tracked delivery $49.00

                                Express postage is available at $11 for 500g, $14 for 3Kg, $20 for 5Kg

                                Regards,
                                Tony
